Oticon Damper - Wax Guards
The Oticon Damper is a filter element located in the hearing angle of various behind-the-ear Hearing Aids.
It acts here as acoustic frequency filter and also prevents moisture and Earwax from entering the device.
Since the filter clogs over time, the damper should be changed regularly. In this way, you ensure proper sound transmission. You will notice that a change is necessary when the Hearing Aid sounds quieter or duller than usual.
